The full title of this international philanthropic Masonic order of Freemasonry is the United Religious, Military and Masonic Orders of the Temple and of St. John of Jerusalem, Palestine, Rhodes and Malta. Masonic Knights Templar rings are worn proudly by many members.
The original medieval Order of Knights Templar existed from approximately 1118 to 1312 A.D. There is no known historical evidence linking the medieval Order to the modern-day Masonic Knights Templar, nor do the present-day organizations claim an official connection.
